Dua Lipa is a British artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 after she had been signed by Warner Bros Records. The album reached third place on the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles including Be the One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. Number One track New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in a number of nations. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). She has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. You can also trace Lipa's family tree back through Peja in Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. The siblings of Lipa are Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play the guitar and sing from her dad Oda. Oda is the leader singer/guitarist for the Kosovan-rock band Oda. In the family, her father would continue to perform music, including music and compositions, as well as songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics.
